He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Snowden and Beatrice Snowden; his wife Darnell Snowden; and his children, Stephen Snowden and Paula Brown.

He is survived by: his sisters, Wanda Locklear, Barbara Singleton (David), Shirley Creel (Raymond) and Joyce Godwin (Tommy); and his grandchildren, Kameron Branning and Kaylee Brown. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
