She was predeceased by: her parents, Ollie Elmer Watkins and Ruby Mildred Watkins; her husbands, Dexter "Deck" Deaton, Sr. and Charley Curtis; her sons, Bobby Deaton and Robert Deaton; and her grandson Barry Deaton.
She is survived by: her children, Dexter "Buddy" Deaton, Jr. (Brenda) of Minter City, MS, Charlotte Sewell of Holcomb, MS and Ellen Maynor of Longville, LA; her sisters, Barbara Cobb of Lucedale, MS and Lani Swindoll (David) of Winona, MS; and her daughter-in-law Carey Deaton of Carrollton, MS. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
