It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Harlan Spence of Monticello, Mississippi, born in Tylertown, Mississippi, who passed away on July 29, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Maureen Spence; his parents, Edward Ellis Spence and Mollie Stogner Spence; his sister Sherry Rushing; and his grandson Marshall Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Allen Spence (Sarah) of Crystal Springs, MS, Andy Spence (Tina), David Spence (Stephanie) and Emma Spence Herz (John).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church (73 Bethel Rd, Monticello, MS 39654). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
