She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Brister (Abe) and Wanza Brister; her stepfather Herby Huhn; her husband Cecil Ward; her nieces, Angela Coon Calcote and Meg Bourne; and her great grandchild Kaelyn Louise Barnes.
She is survived by: her sisters, Beverly Russell (late Lynn) and Carolyn Bourne (James); her daughter Yvette Harris (James); her stepdaughters, Ramona Neal (Jody) and Deadra "DeeDee" Barnes (Bo); her grandchildren, Whitney Ott (Michael), Morgan Speights (Chloe), Jerad Neal, Layton Neal, Dillan Barnes and Dawson Barnes (Carleigh); and her great grandchildren, Keely Grayce Neal, Madalynn "Maddie" Darlene Neal, Bryson Barnes, Karcey Anne Barnes, Kyleigh Barnes, Raelan Barnes, Braylen Barnes, Reese Barnes, Matt Medina and Brooklyn Medina. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
