We announce the death of Frances Odell Beatty Phillips of Morton, Mississippi, born in Forest, Mississippi, who passed away on September 18, 2026, at the age of 93. Frances will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard "Dick" Phillips; her parents, L. C. Beatty and Cleo Beatty; her children, Rick Phillips, Lester Glen Phillips and Baby Nancy Phillips; her siblings, Vernon Beatty and Fredna Traxler; and her grandson Nathan Phillips.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vicky Ladue and Bonita Phillips; her daughter-in-law Jacquie Phillips of North Carolina; her brother Lester R. Beatty (Shirley) of Polkville; and her nieces and nephews, Russ Beatty, Tommy Beatty, Auburn Beatty, DeeDee Walker and Karen Wade. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; many other extended nieces and nephew; and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ott & Lee Funeral Homes - Morton (3555 US-80, Morton, MS 39117). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:15 PM at the Cooperville Baptist Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in her honor to Cooperville Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
