She was predeceased by: her parents, Elton Valentine and Myrtle Valentine; her husband Ernest Gibbs; her daughter Dedria Mitchell; and her sister Sarah Willis.
She is survived by: her brother Billy Valentine (Janice); her children, Daphney Bates (Shannon) and Chad Hillman (Penny); her grandchildren, Hannah Mitchell, Chris Tadlock, Lucas Bates, Haleigh Hillman, Kaytie Hillman and Colton Hillman; and her great grandchild Peyton Tadlock. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Wolf Funeral Services - Morton (3054 US-80, Morton, MS 39117). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at the Sharon Primitive Baptist Cemetery (3236 MS-489, Lake, MS 39092).
