He was predeceased by: his parents, Captain Hershel Sanford and Frances Culpepper Sanford. He is survived by: his children, Captain "CJ" Sanford of Moselle and Shella Sanford Kitchens (Clayton) of Moselle; his grandchildren, Jenaleigh Kitchens, Bethaneigh Kitchens and Lathan Kitchens; and his brothers, Richard Terry Sanford of Seminary and Roger Neil Sanford (Jill) of Seminary. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home (3202 US 49, Collins, MS 39428). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Herbert and Hubert Sanford Family Cemetery.
