She is survived by: her children, Connie Carroll (Darnell), Karen Thompson, Alton Thompson, Sammie Todd Thompson Jr. and Anthony Thompson (Sherry); her grandchildren, Zenece Carroll, Jayda Thompson, Anthony Thompson Jr. Kwame Thompson, Dontae Thompson and Sammie Todd Thompson III; her great grandchildren, Zia Crosby, Paris Barnes, Payton Thompson and Akari Thompson; her uncle Willie Culpepper; her siblings, Arthur Applewhite (Lillie) and Carolyn Robinson; and her in-laws, John Thompson (Nadine), Joe Thompson (Mel), Joe Lindsey Thompson (Cathleen), Cleveland Thompson (Paulette), Danny Robert, Wayne Thompson (Chrystal), Andrew Thompson (Teonca), Micheal Thompson (Christine) and Ronald Thompson (Shyra).
