He was predeceased by: his parents, Duncan May and Alma Vivian Thornbury May; his daughter Dixie Lynn May McCormack; his son-in-law Kevin Chester Stachowski, Sr.; and his brothers-in-law, Jimmy Gammill and Hilton Floyd, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Helen "Elena" Floyd May; his daughters, Maria Elena Smith (Rob) of Moss Point, Susan Elizabeth Stachowski (Mickey) of Moss Point and Amy Vivian Brown (Ray) of Ocean Springs; his brothers, Joseph Douglas May (Sarah) of Moss Point and Michael Stuart May (Marietta) of Tampa, Florida; his siblings-in-law, Beth Gammill, Penny King (Carl), Tamara Floyd, Rhonda Floyd, Pete Floyd (Jeannie) and Pat Floyd (Patricia); and his grandchildren, Patrick Dickson (Erica), Sarah Suggs (Logan), Margaret Dawe (Logan), Kevin Stachowski (Olivia), Christina Anderson (Josh), Emma Diaz (Chris), Ray Brown (Grace), Anna Catherine Brown, Breanna McCormack, Gracie McCormack, Tony McCormack and Katie Mae McCormack.
