He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Bennett Bass and Flara Rowell Bass; his son Franklin Scott Bass; and his siblings, Bruce Bass, Ralph Bass, Edd Bass, Eunice Bass Henderson and Hazel Bass Trawick.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Barton Bass; his son Stanley B. Bass of Ocean Springs, MS; his siblings, Herman Bass of Andalusia, AL, Coy B. Bass of Opelika and Wavie Lee Bass Mims of Andalusia, AL; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Barton Herrington (Paul Herrington) of Cumming, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Shady Hill Freewill Baptist Church (11344 Hog Foot Rd, Andalusia, AL 36420).
