He was predeceased by: his wife Juaniece; his parents, Percy McElroy and Macie McElroy; his brother Edgar McElroy (Ed); his daughter Vivian McElroy; his stepson Kenneth Richards; and his pet Brutus.
He is survived by: his brother Don McElroy (Pat); his children, Deborah King (Tony), Donna Wilson and Dwayne McElroy (Laura); his stepchildren, Linda Butler (Steve), Cathy White (Thomas), Steven Richards, Mark Richards and Roxanne Faulk; and his grandchildren, Carlton, Tony, Chase, Taryn, Lauren, Jourdan, Victoria and Preston. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
