She was predeceased by: her parents, Ceceila Lyons Hurd and Alfred Hurd, Sr.; and her sisters, Adelaide Doherty (David, Sr.), Ann Bradley (Walter), Irene Hawley (Ron, Sr.), Faye McCary (Michael, Sr.) and Linda Smith (Bill).
She is survived by: her children, Tif Smith (Vic) of Montgomery, AL, Emmie Splawn (Rick) of Irvington, AL, Peggy Huffman (Marty) of Waynesboro, MS and Lewis Sims (Amber) of Pascagoula, MS.; her husband Warren L. Sims; her brothers, Al Hurd, Jr. (Belinda) of Pell City, AL and Louis Wayne Hurd (Betty) of Forts Lake, MS.; and her grandchildren, Morgan Griggs (Dillon), Lindsay Berry (Danny), Haley Pierson (Todd), Alana Splawn, Justin Simmons, Hannah Smith, Katelynn Johnston (Adam), Cody Ray Splawn, McKinley Sims, Mallory Sims and Austin Sims.
