We announce the death of Jimmy Presley (Moss Point, Mississippi), who passed away on October 12, 2026, at the age of 65. Jimmy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his father W. L. Presley; and his siblings, Teresa Ann Presley and S. Patrick Presley. He is survived by: his mother Anna Presley of Presley's Outing; his wife Pam Melendrez Presley; his children, Amelia Anne Presley, Mary Caroline Presley Bruscato (J. P.), Josiah Ward (Noel), Elijah Ward (Macie) and Miriam Sota (Michael); his grandchildren, Barrett, Anna Elaine, Lennon, Gray, Stone, Malaela, Mischa, Charlie, Harper, Mason, Merit and Makeo; and his siblings, W. Lynn Presley (Nannette), Sandra Presley Driskell (Keith) and Twila Presley Darnell (Scott).
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Presley's Outing Boat House (10501 Presleys Outing Rd, Moss Point, MS 39562). A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the J.P. Presley Spirit of the Bulldog Memorial Scholarship at Mississippi State University, established in honor of his legacy as the costumed Bully mascot in 1982 and his lifelong love for the Bulldogs. Donations can be made through the MSU Foundation website.
