He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Grimes and Susan Barber Grimes; his wife Eliska V. Grimes; his daughter Joanne Lassiter; his grandson Michael Joseph Grimes; and his sisters, Peggy Bohnstedt and Karen Eytcheson.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Scott Grimes and Shari K. Brewer. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holder-Wells & Coastal Funeral Homes and Cremations (12800 MS-613, Moss Point, MS 39562). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Biloxi National Cemetery (400 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, MS 39531).
