She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Broughton and Carrie Lean Broughton; her siblings, Robert Broughton, Jr., Iguster Broughton, Jimmie Lee Broughton, Mattie Jane Tate-Brookshire, Arthurene Pittman and Johnnie Mae Downs; and her children, Michael Anthony Broughton, Arthur Lee Broughton and Particia Johnson.

She is survived by: her siblings, George Calvin Broughton, Charlie Earl Broughton (Dorothy), Edward Broughton, Freddie Broughton, Mary Frances Perryman and Melissa Smith; her children, Gloria Broughton Cannon, Sheria Diane Andrews Boyd, Jeanetta Broughton Carter, Linda Faye Howard and James Johnson Jr.; her grandchildren, Brigittia Strutchen, Keva Cannon, Jasmine Rankin, Travis Rankin, Jaylon Johnson, Moreyetta Carter, Carmen Carter, Shashonia Johnson, Gerald Nettles Jr., Tony Howard, Jr., Christina Hill, Marcus Hill, Arica Foster and Nicholas Haynes; and her close friends, Mary Joe Brown, Gerald Nettles and Anglo Smith (Boo). She is also survived by great-grandchildren, relatives, cousins, and friends.
