Michael Wayne Carney Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Wayne Carney (Moss Point, Mississippi), who passed away on July 28, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, H. P. Carney and Eunice Vera Daniels Carney; his parents-in-law, Charles and Dolores Hudson; his siblings, Bobby G. Carney and Georgia Rea Carney Mansfield; and his siblings-in-law, Carl Green, Joseph Mansfield, Larry Lemaitre, Emery Elder, Charles Hudson Jr., Ron Hudson and Deborah Hudson.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Marie Hudson Carney; his daughter Hollea Michelle Carney Hans (Paul); his grandchildren, Hudson Joseph Hans, Sarah Michael Hans and Elizabeth Claire Faccini; his siblings, Harold Carney (Trudy) and Dorothy Jean Carney Green; and his sisters-in-law, Ann Lemaitre, Patricia Elder and Laura Hudson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and his church family.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church (4114 1st St, Moss Point, MS 39562). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
