She is survived by: her husband Charles Nettles; her children, Dwylett Chambers Montgomery (John) of Cincinnati and Marcus Chambers of Moss Point, MS; her stepchildren, Charles Nettles II (Sheron), Juanita Patrick (James) and Devon Nettles; her grandchildren, Stephanie Polk, Rayce, Grayson, Kellen Chambers Montgomery, Markelia Roberson, Charles III, Caleb, Chauncey Nettles, Tyler, Essence and Jalyn Patrick; her siblings, Andrea Joseph, Edna Powe (John), Judy Toles (James), Regina Shabazz (Joseph) and Dennis Biggs (Joann); and her friends, Alisa Murray, Linda Thompson and Sandra McCullum. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, bonus children, in-laws.
She was the first voice that visitors would hear when walking into the county offices, and her infectious laugh and contributions to the county newsletter won over fans across the county in this second phase career.
