He was predeceased by: his parents, Thad R. and Robbie E. Brumfield; and his wife Susan George Brumfield. He is survived by: his siblings, Thad R. Brumfield Jr. and Julia Ann Brumfield Ward (Tom); and his nieces and nephews, Alison, Rachel, Robert Sutherland, Trey Sutherland and Lesley Millette Sutherland.

In lieu of flowers, it was his wishes that donations be made to First United Methodist Church.
