He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Ervin and Inez West Speir; his nephew Benjamin Brosh; and his parents-in-law, Gene and Corine Therrell.
He is survived by: his wife Angela Therrell Speir; his daughters, Aimee Stiefel (Brett), Jessica Loris (Steven) and Candice Tisdale; his grandchildren, Brantley, Anna Claire, Meri Parker, Addison, Walker, Jase and Davis; Maggie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
