She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Edward Benefield and Rita Winona Riviere Benefield; her brother Larry Wayne Benefield; and her sister-in-law Virginia Ann "Jenny" Baham. She is survived by: her husband Charles Gerald "Jerry" Bishop; her daughter Alicia Cara Winstead (David Scott); her siblings, Rita Mizer, Katherine Horton of Shreveport, LA and Robert E. Benefield, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA; and her brother-in-law Jimmy Bishop (Sheila). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her church, St. Joseph's Catholic Church in her memory.
