With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sarah Ann Moncrief (Moss Point, Mississippi), who passed away on January 12, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Kirkland and Maggie Kirkland; her husband Reverend Raymond Moncrief; and her siblings, Willis Kirkland, Ralph Kirkland, Bernice Adam and Wanda Atkinson.
She is survived by: her children, Rene Moncrief Lucas (Cal), Chaplain Raymond Moncrief (Donna) and Steve Moncrief (Kim Miletech); her grandchildren, Julie Lucas Abshire, Jay Lucas (Alice), Jenny Lucas Cook (Ben), Bryant Lucas (Becky), Kristen Lucas Harrington (Neil), Emily Moncrief Latimer (Jean), Brandon Moncrief (Anna), Hunter Vande Kamp (Caroline) and Garrett Vande Kamp; her great grandchildren, Harper Lucas, Jacob Lucas, Denver Latimer, Adler Moncrief, Lucy Harrington, Madeline Curry, Cole Curry, Clay Abshire, Hudson Lucas, Morgan Lucas, Lucas Cook, Samuel Cook, Caroline Cook, Judson Cook and Caylee Nevils; and her siblings, Kathern Buckhaults (Billy), Shirley Erwin, Shelby Pierce (Bobbie), Patricia Roberts (Bobby), Brenda Autry, Janis Brushaber and Benny Kirkland. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ridglea Heights Baptist Church or The Gideons International, ministries close to Sarah's heart.
