She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Roe Walden and Margie Saffold Walden; her son Charles Roosevelt Cooper, III; her siblings, Lula Pearl Dixon, Ida Mae Smith, Faymorcele Wilkes, Benjamin Walden, Oscar Walden, Albert Walden and Willie Walden; and her great grandchildren, Aaron Nefertitti Cooper, Keiland Matthew Cooper and Keilil Isaac Cooper.
She is survived by: her children, Walter "Lil Walt" Cooper and Zelanda "Sweetie" Steele; her daughter-in-law Dorothy Cooper; her siblings, Julia Mae Logan, Betty Wright, Anthony Walden and Walter Walden; and her grandchildren, Medgar Dion Richardson (Cathy), Micollette Denise Richardson, Sanwaa Jacco Cooper (Ayanna), Charles Clayton Cooper (Marisa), Nikeland Shahee Cooper (Octavia), Erin Nicole Carter (Darius), De'Angelo Jawaaski Steele, Unique Rich and Wilicia Rogers. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family.
Scripture reminds us in 1 Corinthians 13:13, "And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.".
