Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Trijetta Gibson Cropp of Moss Point, Mississippi, born in Newton, Mississippi, who passed away at the age of 83, on July 19, 2025. She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Cropp; her parents, Claude Demetris Gibson, Sr. and Hazel Reynolds Gibson Howse; her stepfather Harold "Dick" Howse; her brother Demetris "Hoot" Gibson; and her nephew Darryl Gibson.

She is survived by: her daughter Demisha Gum (Jason); her granddaughters, Victoria "Tori" Gum of Ocean Springs and K'Lee Brooke Gum of Ocean Springs; and her sisters-in-law, Diane Gibson and Earline Hughes of Grand Bay, AL. She is also survived by numerous other relatives, friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (6308 Wildwood Rd, Moss Point, MS 39562). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Serene Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to her church, First Baptist Church in Helena.

“Ms. Cropp was my hands down favorite teacher in Elementary. She was always so kind even through my adult years she was still the same sweet, loving, caring woman I knew as a child. She will be missed very much by many. But we all know she is now playing the piano for the Almighty God and is healthy now. Rest Easy Ms. Cropp”
