He is survived by : his wife Gloria Jean Hunt; his daughters, Lela, Kristy Hunt of Moss Point, MS and Ebonnee Hunt of Pascagoula, MS; his grandchildren, Marlon Morris, II (Tamela) of Ocean Springs, MS, Elyse Lawson of Pascagoula, MS and Miriam Morris of Gautier, MS; his great grandchildren, Serena and Serenity Morris of Ocean Springs, MS; his aunt Mattie Lee Harrison of Pascagoula, MS; his siblings, Shelia, Teresa Sherrod of Moss Point, MS, Kala (Born), Donnis Jones (Margaret) of Moss Point, MS, Tyrone Sherrod (Sunny) of Tacoma, WA, Flanders O'Neal Sherrod, Jerome Sherrod of Las Vegas, NV, Jason Sherrod (Shervonne) of Moss Point, MS, Maurice Sherrod (Awilda) of Atlantic City, NJ, Thomas Jones (Paula) of St. Louis, MO, Cedric Taylor of Moss Point, MS and Jarrod Fountain of Moss Point, MS; his nephew Brian Mosely of Pascagoula, MS; and his cousins, Cheryl Hunt of Decatur, GA and Frances Hunt-Burress of Bonaire, GA. He is also survived by aunts, cousins, classmates.

A memorial service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Guardian Angels Funeral Home (2034 Old Mobile Ave, Pascagoula, MS 39567).
