She was predeceased by: her parents, Gabe Chain and Elma Clark Chain; her husband Albert M. Whatley; her son Michael Whatley; and her brother Leonard Chain.
She is survived by: her children, Mitchell Whatley (Rose) of Mount Olive and Sherrie Whatley Hand (Randy) of Mount Olive; her grandchildren, Jordan Hand (Heather), Kelsey Valladares (Diego) and Maegan Eaves (Jamie); and her great grandchildren, Christian Bryant, River Stafford, Maci Stafford, Lakin Stafford and Stetson Hand. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in her memory to Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 795 Highway 532 in Mount Olive, Mississippi, 39119.
