With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ricky Myrl Brown of Mount Olive, Mississippi, born in Taylorsville, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 21, 2024 at the age of 76. He was predeceased by : his parents, John Henry Brown and Ocie Sellers Brown; and his siblings, Rafel Brown, James Harold Brown, Betty Jean McDonald and Judy Carol Brown.

He is survived by : his wife Melinda Kay Brown; his children, Sam Brown and Chastity Hope Brown Quick; his grandchildren, Memorie Johnston (Cody), Zayne Johnston and Mary Ashten Quick; his great grandchild Riley Joyce Parkman; his siblings, Reggie Brown, Connie Sue Cooley and Ann McCloud; his sister-in-law Kathy Eubanks; and his close friend Pamela Gentile. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home (302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS 39111). A graveside service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at the New Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery (682 Scr 51, Mt Olive, MS 39119).
