It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anna Mae Joy Burchfield of Natchez, Mississippi, who passed away on August 26, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Edward Joy and Emily Matthews Joy; her son Shannon Dewayne Burchfield; her sister Betty Gean Joy Ratliff; and her niece Beverly Gremmillon.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas Allen Burchfield of Natchez, MS; her son James Burchfield (Rose) of Natchez, MS; her grandchildren, Teddy Allen Burchfield of Denham Springs, LA, Rachel Burchfield of Bouge Chitto, MS, Barry Brock of Hattiesburg, MS and Doug Brock of Natchez, MS; her sister Elizabeth Nations of Natchez, MS; and also Elizabeth Burchfield.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital, or the Natchez Adams County Humane Society.
