She is survived by: her children, William Jackson (Delores), Odell Carter, Jr. (Mary), Jerome Carter (Janice), Deborah Woods, Norma Moore (Bruce), Wanda Jennings (Larry), Courtney Jones (Roosevelt), Tasheika Carter and Ladonna Davis (Kale); her siblings, James Davis (June), Harold Davis, Ida Davis, Bessie Stephenson (Terry) and Helen Barrow; and her close friend Edward Lee Dunmore. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
