She was predeceased by : her parents, Hugh James and Mabel Christiansen; her husband John "Jack" William Cox Jr.; her son Hugh "Wade" Cox; and her siblings, Rufus James, Marguerite Lofton, Charles James, Horace Ray James and Katherine Havis.

She is survived by : her son John W. Cox III (Kaye); her grandchildren, Camille Renard (Nick), John W. Cox IV (Ashley) and Jeffrey Cox (Jade); and her great grandchildren, Sydney Renard, Olivia Renard, Cason Cox, Finley Cox, Wyatt Cox, Whitney Cox and Griffin Cox.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Laird Funeral Home (408 N Union St, Natchez, MS 39120). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Laird Funeral Home Chapel (408 N Union St, Natchez, MS 39120).
