She was predeceased by: her father George Thompson, Jr.; and her brother Vincent G. Thompson. She is survived by: her mother Dorothy Anderson Thompson; her daughter Renora Dixon; and her sisters, Sharon Jordan (Lamar, Sr.) and Patricia Thompson. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, friends.
