It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eyvone Smith Lewis (Natchez, Mississippi), who passed away on July 15, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Emily Nelson Smith and Putman Smith; her husband A. D. Lewis, Sr.; her children, Carl Lewis, A. D. Lewis, Jr., Greta Pugh, Irene Lewis, Ida and Gloria Lewis; her granddaughter Rodeisha Norris; and her daughter-in-law Carolyn Lewis.

She is survived by : her children, Otis Lewis (Williestine), Thomas Charles Lewis (Arbodella), Stanley Lewis, Damon Lewis (Tracey), Clementine Lewis and Bobbie Norris; her siblings, Rev. Sonny Smith, Solomon Smith, George Smith, Frederick Smith, Corine Smith, Corine DeVaul, Gloria Williams and Rosie Smith; and her son-in-law Curry Pugh. She is also survived by grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
