She was predeceased by: her parents, Emma Watkins Blanton and Leo Blanton, Sr.; her siblings, Leo Blanton, Jr., Mack Amos Blanton and Addie Knight; her grandchild Latrell "Sassy" Blanton; and her brothers-in-law, Frank Dent, Joseph Knight and Isaac Terrell.
She is survived by: her husband James W. Squalls; her children, Beatrice "Mollycat" Blanton, Linda Jean Blanton, Glenda Blanton, Yevette Squalls and James A. Squalls; her sisters, Anna Dent, Mildred Terrell, Shirley Blanton, Emma Blanton and Mary Phipps; her goddaughters, Kewonna Blanton and Brenda Williams Hamilton; and her sister-in-law Josephine Blanton. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
