With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Caskey of Natchez, Mississippi, born in Laurel, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2025 at the age of 69. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact James had on those he encountered along his journey. Though James may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, JC Caskey and Mary Ellen Thompson Smith; and his parents-in-law, Roger Waller and Cindy Lee Byrnes. He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his uncle Claude Thompson; his brother-in-law Roger Dale Waller Sr.; his sibling's children, Kaytlyn McDonald and Roger Waller Jr.; and his cousins, Benton Swillie, CJ McDonald, Liz Walker and Suzie Swillie. He is also survived by friends that are his chosen family.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Park (106 Morgantown Rd, Natchez, MS 39120).
