He was predeceased by: his parents, James Howell and Annie Bell Whittington; and his sister JoAnn Whittington. He is survived by: his wife Bernice Kelley Whittington; his children, Howard Whittington (Sharon Lewis) and Donna Whittington Crisp (Tucker); his grandchildren, Dr. Tyler Crisp (Ashley), Heath Whittington, Joanna Whittington and Paige Whittington; and his great grandchildren, Audrey Crisp, Amelia Crisp, Hunter Whittington and Pace Anderson.
