He was predeceased by : his parents, John P. King and Sybel Davis King; his daughter Pam Webb; and his siblings, Hilton King and Aileen Alexander.

He is survived by : his wife Faye Reid King of Vidalia; his children, Johnny King, Jr. of Spring and Nita Houghton of Vidalia; and his sister Janice Magee of Hattiesburg. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
