Martha Currie Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Martha Currie of Natchez, Mississippi, born in Ida, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 11, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Victor Monta Currie Jr.; her son Victor Monta Currie III; her parents, Carl Maddox and Tressie Sams Maddox; her sisters, Betty Jo Lummus (Samuel), Patsy Thompson (Henry), Mamie Hatfield (Jack) and Charlene McGill (Benjamin); and her sister-in-law Georgia Rose Williams.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vicki Currie and Trudy Carr (Frank); her grandchildren, Christy Dubert (Jeff) and Justin Carr; her great grandchildren, Charlotte and Palmer; her boyfriend Joe Miller; and also, Scarlet and Madison.
In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Martha, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice, or to Webster Animal Shelter, located at 525 Post Oak Road, Madison, MS 39110.
