She was predeceased by: her mother Nancy Carmichael Smith; her brother David E. Smith; and her stepbrother Mark G. Veal. She is survived by: her father Louis C. Smith; her stepmother Anniece Veal Smith; her daughters, Jennifer Haile (Andrew) of Madison, MS and Jessica Emfinger of Natchez, MS; her granddaughters, Ali Haile and Anna Emfinger; her siblings, Kay Cook of Shreveport, LA, Lee Ann Smith of Shreveport, LA, Nicole Bailey Hamilton of Shreveport, LA and Charlie Smith (Rose Smith) of Houston, TX; her stepsister Ellen Veal Reed (Phil) of Dickenson, TX; her siblings' children, Hunter Cook (Hannah) of Ponchatoula, LA, Chelsi Coleman (Trent) of Natchez and Mark Yeates of Terry, MS; her great-nieces, Riley and Stella Coleman; and her aunt Joan Sartin of Brookhaven, MS.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Park (106 Morgantown Rd, Natchez, MS 39120).
