She was predeceased by: her parents, Cedric Wood and Clara Wood; her husband Henry Heard; and her son-in-law Robert Whitley. She is survived by: her children, Roger Heard (Lisa) and Ruth Whitley; her grandchildren, Dylan Heard, Bryon Whitley (Jessica) and Ashley Whitley (Paulina); and her great grandchildren, Robby and Ginger Whitley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, First Baptist Church of Greenwood, or a local animal shelter — causes close to her compassionate heart.
