He is survived by: his wife Alpha Smith of Neely; his children, Amy Byrd of Neely and Denton Smith (Emily) of Neely; his stepson Greg Scoggins of State Line; his brother Elwyn Smith of Neely; his grandchildren, Kayleigh Byrd (Hayden West), Keaton Byrd, Reanna Scoggins, Harley Scoggins (Gunner Smith), Ashley Corley (Taylor), Hanna Myrick (Brodie), Trevor Parker, Abigail Callegan and Ashlynn Callegan; and his great grandchild Taylen Corley.
