We are sad to announce that on September 19, 2025, at the age of 81, Gwyn Howard Waycaster of Nettleton, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Gwyn had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Gwyn may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Collier Waycaster and Guey Howard Waycaster. He is survived by: his significant other Dot Howard of Nettleton; his daughter MeLisa "Missy" Stewart; his son-in-law Keith Stewart of Madison; his sister Emily Patterson (John Robert) of Nettleton; and his brother-in-law Mack Hussey (Vicky) of Auburn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests honoring Gwyn's love of teaching God's Word by considering a donation to his first Bible teaching opportunity in 1976, the Sunday school youth class at Nettleton First Community Church.
