He was predeceased by : his parents, Rev. James W. Gibson and Stella Jewel Gibson (Scribner); and his wife Johnnie R. Gibson. He is survived by : his sons, Bennie Gibson (Kaye) and Ronnie Gibson; and his sister Betty Jean Taylor. He is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
