With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Irene Box of Nettleton, Mississippi, born in Tremont, Mississippi, who passed away on July 20, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Braxton Fuller and Lillie Mauldin Fuller; her granddaughter Lynndon McDill; her son-in-law Ricky Northington; her mother-in-law Hazel Cheney; and her sister-in-law Martha Dulap.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Box of Nettleton; her daughters, Amanda Northington of Amory, MS and Melissa Simonson (Scott) of Amory, MS; her granddaughters, Jordan Tilley (Jacob) of Ethelsville, AL and Alexia Simonson of Amory, MS; her grandson-in-law Ben McDill of Reform; her great grandchildren, Palyn Tilley, Roper Tilley, Tylan Cromeans and Oliver McDill; and her sister Cheryl Elaine Williams (Rex) of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Emmanuel Assembly of God Church (193 W Main St, Nettleton, MS 38858). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
