He is survived by: his wife Grace Webber; his daughters, Angela Gillespie (Curtis) of Okolona and Erica Jones (Arthur) of Florence, Mississippi; his grandchild Charnisha; his cousins, Charledric Harris, DeAntwan Gillespie, Taylor Short, Curtis Gillespie, III (Tre), Nicholas Jones and Kenley Grace Jones; his great grandchild Keegan Wooten; his sisters, Mary Helen Taylor of Prairie, Mississippi, Lois Pulliam of Prairie, Mississippi, Clara A. Hogan (Mitchell) of Prairie, Mississippi, Azzie L. Lenoir of Prairie, Mississippi, Emma Sue McFarland (Willie) of West Point, Mississippi, Dorothy Stanfield (Jimmy) of Houston, Mississippi and Inez Webb of Painesville, Ohio; and his sisters-in-law, Annie Thomas, Legerthia Osborne (Raymond), Mary Wofford (Jewell) and Mary Helen Webber. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Community Funeral Directors & Cremations (258 Martin Luther King Ave, Nettleton, MS 38858). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Shady Grove MB Church (6584 Brand-Una Rd, Prairie, MS 39756).
