With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Billy Pankey of New Albany, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 27, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Pankey and Mildred Jenigan Pankey; his wife Muriel Jean Pankey; his daughters, Bonnie Patton and Melisa Churchill; his grandsons, Brandon Pankey and James Payne; and his siblings, Faye Hall, Linda Rowan, Sonnie Pankey and Donnie Pankey.
He is survived by: his children, Barry Pankey, Barbara Moore (Bill), Sherri Lucas (Roy), Becky Bat (David), Lisa Rouse (Marvin), Pam Grubbs (Curtis) and Donna High (Eddie); and his siblings, Elizabeth Ware, Bobby Pankey, Rickey Pankey and Ronnie Pankey. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
