He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Brooks Elder and Lily Bernice Pannell Elder; and his brother Donald Elder. He is survived by: his wife Pat Adair Elder; and his children, Stacy Hamblin (Wayne), Jeff Elder (Andrea) and Patrick Elder (Britney). He is also survived by his fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
