He is survived by: his children, Queena Rutherford (Kellan), Don A. Gilbert, Jr. and Chad Gilbert; his close friend Nancy Fant; his siblings, William Albert "Weebie" Gilbert (Deborah), David Gilbert, Ronnie Gilbert, Billy Gilbert, Dwight Gilbert, Patricia Gilbert and Renee Gilbert; his uncles, Dennis Boyd, Sr. (Francis) and Vance Boyd, Jr. (Katie); his aunt Dianna Boyd; and his sister-in-law Linda Sue Gilbert.
