It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gennie Baker (New Albany, Mississippi), who passed away on August 27, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Gennie shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gennie farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy DeCanter and Mary Ruth Lollar DeCanter; her daughter Jessica Leigh Baker; and her sister Rachel Sue DeCanter. She is survived by: her husband Charles Baker; and her brothers, Travis DeCanter and Mitchell DeCanter (Edna).
