He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Goodwin and Leone O. Goodwin; his brothers, Paul and Richard Goodwin; and his wife Joan Dunlap Goodwin.

He is survived by: his son Dr. Kenneth Goodwin; his granddaughter Sydney Anderson of Roswell, GA; his daughters, Cindy Goodwin of New Albany, MS and Cheryl Tatge (Gary) of Springhill, TN; his grandson Jonathan (Jennifer); and his great grandchild Josephine Goodwin of Dublin, OH..
