It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jane George (New Albany, Mississippi), born in Blue Springs, Mississippi, who passed away on April 24, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Jane is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, Felon Tate Miller and Maggie Lavada Rakestraw Miller; and her sister Eloise Floyd. She is survived by: her children, Ricky George and Georgette George; her brother Wennon Miller; her daughters, Rita Burchfield (Dean) and Jackie Hutcheson; and her sister Nancy Timmons. She is also survived by her five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Jude's Children' Hospital.
