Jean Leech Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jean Leech of New Albany, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 19, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Sue Griggs Wheeler; her husband William Leech; her father Farrel Wheeler; and her siblings, Billy Wheeler, David Wheeler, Betty Sue Guess and Barbara Wheeler.
She is survived by: her daughter Rosanne Hays (Norman); her grandchildren, Benjamin Hays, Nathan Hays (Nikki), Ashley Hays and Courtney Capps (Andrew); and her sister Sarah Johnson. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Due to her struggles with dementia, the family requests that donations be made to The Mind Center c/o University of Mississippi Medical Center, 2500 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39216.
